Please join the Mountain West Clinical and Translational Research Infrastructure Network (CTR-IN) and University of New Mexico’s Clinical & Translational Science Center (CTSC) via Zoom Video Conferencing for our live REDCap Basic Training on March 19 and May 21 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, MT.
REDCap is a secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases. While REDCap can be used to collect virtually any type of data, it is specifically geared to support online or offline data capture for clinical and translational research studies and operations.
The training is designed for beginners — It provides an introduction to REDCap and its features, and is a good place to start for new users. The class format will be a PowerPoint presentation, and include a demonstration.
Topics to be covered in this introductory course include:
- Setting up a basic project
- Understanding field types and creating the instruments for data input
- Turning an instrument into a survey
- Testing and moving your project into production
Registration is required. Please use the video conference link below to register. A confirmation email will be sent to registrants with instruction for joining the meeting.
Remote users will have limited interaction during the teleconference session, but follow-up online support will be offered to address questions from participants. Inquiry about this training should be sent to Yiliang Zhu, director of BERD core of CTR-IN (YiZhu@salud.unm.edu). Follow-up evaluation will be conducted by CTR-IN.
CTR-IN and UNM CTSC are working to make access to UNM REDCap available to investigators. Advanced training with hands-on demonstration will be offered in the future. Announcements will be forthcoming.
